Honestly thanks so much for doing all that is humanly possible to find alternatives but they don't relate to the publishing system. They only allow for web-integrated classes and they do not enlarge the capacities of the publishing part. I've been told that maybe Joomla is not fit for what I need and I'm starting to come to terms with this.
Maybe one day Joomla or a third-party component will make this possible and will allow for a real user dashboard like the one that briefly existed under Joomla 1.7 thanks to a free extension ("frontend user article manager"). I'm not giving up and I still believe in the power of Joomla!
